Donation of used glasses – Terre Sans Frontières
At your Clinic, we take back your used glasses so that they can be used again. An ecological and solidarity project, led by Terre Sans Frontières.
The organization Terre Sans Frontières works with countries in the South, in development or in emergency aid to ensure sustainable access for all to education, health and decent incomes.
Its actions are based on 3 pillars:
- Humanitarian aid
- Sustainable development
- Voluntary cooperation
It works in 8 countries:
- Bolivia
- Ecuador
- Haiti
- Mali
- Democratic Republic of Congo
- Republic of Congo
- Senega
- Tanzania
To participate and help them in their missions, you can bring your used glasses to the Clinique d'Optométrie Bélanger, or to many other participating eye care professionals in Quebec.
We take back your clear glasses with prescription, but also your sunglasses without prescription. (We do not take back glasses cases).
These glasses are then cleaned, analyzed and classified to be redistributed to the populations of the countries mentioned above. They are therefore an essential raw material for visual health interventions.
