Dr. Paulin Bélanger founded Bélanger Optometry Clinic 80 years ago. Soon after, he opened his office at the corner of De La Salle and Sainte-Catherine East in 1943, in his native neighbourhood.
Bélanger Optometry Clinic has undergone several transformations to meet the ever-growing demand of its clientele. Today, the clinic covers an area of 8000 sq. ft., while maintaining its personalized approach. OD - Optometrist
Dr. Mara Boureanu completed her doctorate in optometry at the University of Montreal in 2026. During her studies, she worked one summer at the Bélanger Optometry Clinic. Enthralled by the environment and the supportive community, she joined the team as an optometrist after graduation.
In 2025, she completed an internship at the Precision Cornea Center ophthalmology clinic in Ottawa, where she deepened her knowledge of ocular pathologies, particularly dry eye and irregular corneas. Her dedication to the profession is also demonstrated by her involvement in the student association, clinical research, and a humanitarian mission to Peru during her studies.
Smiling, warm, and analytical, Dr. Boureanu enjoys using her clinical expertise and compassionate approach to support her patients and provide them with personalized care.
